Rudy Giuliani could be charged with conspiracy to suborn perjury
After the normal niceties of a person who hasn’t communicated with me for a while, the bochinchero who has known Rudy Giuliani since his days as a prosecutor and knew him well as Mayor of New York City got right in to it.
“I believe that among the many crazy things Rudy did in the Hannity interview that have been overlooked is that he [Rudy] possibly exposed himself to a charge of conspiracy to suborn perjury," the bochinchero said.
According to the source, when Rudy stated during the interview that "everybody was nervous about this from the very beginning. I wasn’t. I knew how much money Donald Trump put into that campaign, and I said, “$130,000? He could do a couple of checks for $130,000," he may have exposed himself and Trump to the charges stated above.
The bochinchero feels strongly that this may seem like a minor issue "but if Mueller or the Southern District of New York have evidence of how Trump made the repayment to Cohen and if that payment was not, in fact, made via the retainer, then I believe Giuliani has opened up himself, and Trump, to a charge of conspiracy to suborn perjury.”
So, the bochicnhero goes on to say, "Basically, Giuliani concocted a story for Trump to use. A crucial point to keep in mind is that, as the US Attorneys' Manual clearly states, 'conspiracy to suborn perjury may be prosecuted irrespective of whether perjury has been committed.' In other words, Trump and Giuliani do not have to commit the actual perjury in order for a suborning conspiracy to apply to both!”
I know that there are plenty of attorneys that read B&B and I expect to hear from a few of them about this bochinchero's opinion.
In the meantime, there are a few things I’m following up on related to this, as I believe that this bonchinchero's theory has a good chance of moving from just bochinche to real noticia. Let's see what develops...
